Venue: Ang Mo Kio Secondary School
Date: 3 September 2010, Friday
Time: 1500hr-1830hr
Attire: PT Kit
Please bring along your ezlink cards for registration and gather at the Singa Lion by 2.30pm. There will be transport to Ang Mo Kio Secondary.

Rules and Regulations:
Decisions made by the organising unit referee will be final.
There should not be any arguments over the decision made or else team will be disqualified.
No violent conducts or vulgar languages will be tolerated.
Station Rules
1. TUG-OF-WAR
All the 10 members of each team are to participate in this station.
They are only allowed to start pulling the rope after the whistle is blown.
The first man of both teams is to stand on their boundary lines.
Teams are to pull the rope until the centre cloth reaches their boundary line in order to win.
Once the final long whistle is blown, all participants are to stop pulling the rope immediately.
Safety Precaution
All participants are not supposed to let go of the rope when pulling - until the final long whistle is being blown to signal the end of the game. It is to prevent the participants from tripping over and falling.
All the participants are not allowed to coil the rope around their arms. This is to prevent injuries to their bodies and their arms.
If any one participant is caught violating the above safety rules, one point will be deducted per participant.
2. Compact Chairs
7 participants are needed for this station.
No dragging of the chairs when transferring them.
No tossing of chairs is allowed.
Participants are not suppose to fall off from the chairs
Only one chair is allowed to be transferred one at a time.
5 seconds penalty will be added if found breaking the rules above.
3. Obstacle Course (Ping-Pong Balance)
All 10 members of each team can participate in this station.
There will be tables, chairs and twines being set up along the way to the end of the obstacle course.
All participants are to overcome obstacles being set up for them without dropping the ping pong ball on the spoon.
They are not allowed to touch the ping pong ball with their hands once they start the obstacle course or to secure the ping pong ball to the spoon by using other means such as twine when transferring it to the end of the course.
Teams will start from one end of the obstacle course. Team members are to manoeuvre the obstacle course with the ping pong ball on the spoon at all times.
Anyone who drops the ping pong ball has to restart the obstacle again.
Safety Precaution
There should only be one participant doing the obstacle course at a time. This is to prevent overcrowding which is dangerous to the participants when there are a lot of people overcoming the obstacles simultaneously.
5 seconds penalty will be added if found breaking the rules above.
4. Captain’s Ball
6 participants of each team are allowed to participate in this station.
One point will be awarded after the captain remains on the chair for two seconds or more upon receiving the ball. Referee will make one long whistle blow to signal that one point is scored.
Participants are only allowed to hold on to the ball for 8secs. If the participant exceeded the time, the referee will blow two short warning whistles. Failure to pass the ball thereafter will result in a turn over of possession to the other team.
Participants are not allowed to make more than two steps after receiving the ball. Violation of this rule will result in a turn over of possession to the other team.
Participants are not allowed to kick or bounce the ball. Violation of this rule will result in a turn over of possession to the other team.
A bounce pass is not allowed. Violation of this rule will result in a turn over of possession to the other team.
The defender is supposed to stand at least 1 arms length from the attacker who is holding the ball. Violation of this rule will result in an unguarded pass being awarded to the other team.
At all times during the game, the opponent is not allowed to have physical contact with the player who is having the ball. Violation of this rule will result in an unguarded pass awarded to the other team.
Defenders are not allowed to try and sap the ball out of the hands of the opponent’s captain after the opponent’s captain receives the ball. Violating this rule will result in unguarded shot-on-goal.
Defender is not allowed to have physical contact with the captain’s hands. Violating this rule will result in unguarded shot-on-goal.
Defender is not allowed to cause instability to the captain’s chair. Violating this rule will result in unguarded shot-on-goal.
Only 2 substitutions are allowed throughout the match.
Teams are only allowed to make a substitution when they are in possession of the ball. Exceptions will be made in the case of injury.
The team which scored the most goals will be the winner for the match.
Safety Precaution
Pulling of shirts, pushing of other players or shoulder-checking of other players is disallowed throughout the match. It is considered as violent actions and the offending player/s will be sent to the ‘Sin-bin’ for two minutes.
Players who displayed un-sportsmanship behaviour - such as fighting will be banned straightaway from the game. No substitution is allowed to be made for the player who is banned from the game.
There should only be one captain standing on the chair at all times.
5. Maze
4 participants are allowed to participate in this station.
There is a need to blindfold 3 participants as it is part of the match. There will be one participant to lead the other 3 participants.
The ‘eye’ is supposed to lead the other 3 blindfolding teammates to the end of the maze set up.
They are not allowed to confuse the opposing teams by shouting the wrong instructions.
No physical contact is allowed between the ‘eye’ and the blindfolded person.
The blindfolded people are not allowed to hold on to each other.
The blindfolded person should not remove their blindfold at any point of time during the match. It will be considered as a attempt to cheat. One point will be deducted if caught as it is considered a major offence to cheat.
Safety Precaution
The blindfolded person should not be moving on their own without any instructions from the ‘eye’. It is to prevent them to fall when they encounter obstacles along their way.
5 seconds penalty will be added when caught violating the rules above.
TIE-BREAKER
This round, known as the ‘TIE-BREAKER ROUND’ will occur:
1. If there are two teams that in any top three positions having the same number of points.
If there are 2 teams that are tied for the 3rd position, they will have to play one round of compact chairs. The winner will be awarded the 3rd position.
If there are 2 teams that are tied for the 2nd position, they will have to play one round of Tug-Of-War. The winner will be awarded the 2nd position while the other team will be awarded the 3rd position.
If there are 2 teams that are tied for the 1st position, they will have to play one round of Captain’s ball. The winner will be awarded the 1st position while the other team will be awarded the 2nd position.
2. If there are 3 teams having the same highest number of points, all three teams will have to play one round of Obstacles Course. The top 3 positions will be determined through this round using the same rules mentioned above.
