VSNPCC Challenge Unlimited Games Day 2011

The Rules and regulations as well as the details for the Victoria School Captain's ball competition is listed below.
Date : 16 March 2011 (Wednesday)
Time: 9am to 1pm
OBJECTIVES
• To foster good relationships between NPCC units.
• To encourage positive teamwork within each unit.
• To foster friendship and a sharing experience between cadets.
Mode of Competition
5-a-side Captain’s Ball competition will be held at the Indoor Sports Hall Level 2.
Teams are to arrive on time so as not to delay the competition start-time. Movement of supporters is restricted to the canteen and the competition compound. Supporters are not to jeer at any team and anyone who breaches this rule will result in the disqualification of their team.
Mode of Competition for Girls’ 5-a-side Captain’s Ball Competition
Teams are to limit themselves to only 7 players per team (5 starters and 2 reserves). The game will be played in the tournament rule format, that is, all participating teams will be separated into 2 groups by drawing lots and they will play against each other within the group, only the top 2 teams of each group advance to the Finals round in which the top 2 teams will vie for the 1st and 2nd placings and the other 2 teams will compete for the 3rd placing. Rules and regulations are stated below.
Rules and Regulations (For Basketball and Captain’s Ball)
• Competitors are to be cadets of the NPCC unit of their school.
• All teams are to assemble at 8.45am sharp or earlier at our school’s reception counter.
• Schools will also be given an extra time of 10 minutes before the start of the first game to arrive and take attendance.
• Neither violent conduct nor vulgarities will be tolerated during play.
• Team members are to wear the same attire to avoid confusion during play.
• Referee’s decisions are final and no appeals will be entertained.
Rules and Regulations – For Girls (Captain’s Ball)
• Since there are no clear standard rules for Captain’s Ball, it shall be standardised here.
• The game will be played in fulltime of 10 minutes including a 1-minute interval.
• Offensive fouls: Running with ball (maximum of 2 steps allowed), any rough play that will inflict/has inflicted any injury to the opponent, violent conduct.
• Defensive fouls: Snatching of possession directly from the opponents hands (The change in possession is only legal in cases of interception, fouls & out-of-bounds situations), any rough play that will inflict/has inflicted any injury to the opponent, violent conduct.
• In the event of a draw, ‘sudden-death’ play will apply where the first team to score a shot in an extra-time of 2 minutes will win the game.
• In the event of a draw in the finals, 4 minutes of extra-time will be played.
