The details for the swearing-in ceremony are as follows:
Date: 9 March 2011 (Wednesday)
Time: 1430 - 1830
Venue: Deyi Secondary School
Attire: School Uniform
Please report to the school carpark by 1430. A chartered bus will bring you to the venue. However, only one-way transport is provided. You will be dismissed from Deyi Secondary School. Please be remember to bring your PT Kit for the games.
Hand Ball Competition
This competition is organised by Deyi Sec.
Objectives:
To promote the sense of bonding and belonging in NPCC
To bond new cadets among their squads and in the Area
Time: 4.00 - 6.30pm
Venue: Deyi Sec (Quadrangle)
Attire: PT Kit
General Rules and Regulations:
1. Cadets' safety should be of first priority.

General Rules and Regulations:
1. Cadets' safety should be of first priority.
3. The ball should only be passed by hand. Kicking of ball is not allowed.
4. Cadets are not allowed to play rough or use violence at any point of time.
5. Cadets are to tuck in their shirts at all times.
6. Cadets are to observe the rules and regulations and instructions from the Game Masters.
7. The Game Master's decision is final.
How to play Hand Ball/ Game Rules:
1. Commencement of the game is by throwing of the ball and 1 long whistle blow. The Game Master will throw the ball up, and the players will try to gain possesion of the ball.
2. Scoring will be considered after either team shoots the ball into the opposing team goal post.
3. Interception of opponent's ball can only be done from the front. Back challenge is a foul.
4. The goal keeper can only stand in the penalty box.The goal keeper should not be out of the penalty box at any point of time. Neither is other players allowed to enter the penalty box.
5. If the goal keepers step out of the box, or other players step into the box, the opposing team will gain possessioni of the ball.
6. Travelling foul will occur, if the player with the ball walks more than three steps. It will be counted as foul and the opposing team will gain possession of the ball.
7. Substituitions are allowed during the match but the Game Master will need to be notified. Each team is only allowed to have three times of substituition in a game.
8. Possession of the ball will be changed to the opposing team if the ball is thrown out of boundaries.
9. Possession of the ball will be changed to the opposing team if any fouls are committed.
10. Anyone who owns the possession of the ball can only bounce the ball once. Or a foul is committed.
11. Each player is only allowed to hold the ball for not more than 5 seconds. If the player does so, the team will lose the the ball possession.
12. If the game is a draw, the game will continue until the golden goal is scored.
Game Play
a) Every game consists of 2 halves and 1 water break
i) 1st half of the game: 5 minutes
ii) 2nd half of the game: 5 minutes
iii) Break-in-between the halves game: 2 minutes
b) The game is played by elimination with the winners of each round going up the next stage of the competition.
Whistle Code
Commencement of the game: 1 long blow
Fouls/ Change of ball possession: 2 short blows
Finishing of the Game: 1 Long blow
Awards will be presented to the top 3 teams. Certificates of Participation will be presented to all participating teams.

Captain's Ball Competition
This competition is organised by First Toa Payoh Secondary School
Objectives
Foster stronger relationships within the Area
To foster friendship and a sharing experience between cadets
To promote teamwork and to bring out the competitive spirits among our cadets
Time: 3.00 - 6.30pm
Venue: Deyi Sec
Attire: PT Kit
Duration of Match: 10 minutes
All participating units will play equal rounds of games and points will be totalled up to determine the winners of the game. Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams.
Rules and Regulations:
1. Players are to obey all instructions given by instructors and officers.
2. Players are not allowed to use vulgarities during the game.
3. Supporters are allowed to cheer for their teams but NO jeering.
4. Players are not to use violence at any point of time.
5. Players should try to earn points by throwing the ball to their own goalkeeper standing on the chair.
6. If the ball is thrown to the goalkeeper and the goalkeeper catches it without standing on the chair, it will not be counted.
7. Each game lasts for 10 minutes.
8. Any player who receives 2 yellow cards will be automatically suspended for the one subsequent match.
9. Any player who receives a red card will be suspended for two subsequent match.
10. Once the ball is out of the boundary, the ball goes to the opposing team.
11. Violation of the game will result in disqualification. This will be done at the discretion of the organiser.
12. Referee's decision is final!!
Whistle code:
Start of game: 1 continuous long blow for the commence of the game
During the game: 1 short blow for foul/ out
End of the game: 1 continuous long blow for the end of the game.
